Located in the western part of Batangas, Calatagan prides itself having one of the longest shoreline in the whole province. And given its location, it is also among those few beaches that offers the best sunset view.

Declared as a Special Tourism Zone by former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in 2007, Nasugbu does meet high expectations. Nasugbu offers the best of both worlds with mountains meeting white sand beaches. What makes Nasugbu stand out is its magnificent beach coves which are well-loved by tourists.

Layag-Layag is the perfect place for those who wants to really embrace island living and escape the modern world for a while. The beach is located in an island in Brgy. Papaya that can be reached by boat. There is no electricity, no cottages or resorts, or even just stores, so you would need to bring all your needs, but just make sure not to leave anything behind specially garbage.

FANTASY WORLD, LEMERY BATANGAS

If you’ve ever dreamed of going to Disneyland or exploring Disney World, know that we could’ve had something quite similar to it.

Fantasy World is a theme park located in Lemery, Batangas, just a four-hour drive away from Manila. Built in 2001, it was once owned by a businessman who was forced to leave it unfinished due to financial problems.

Visitors can enjoy the sight of a medieval-themed castle, colorful rides, condotels, and other attractions such as tree houses connected by a hanging bridge, and a tower where they can go and feel like Rapunzel. It looks like Fantasy World attempted to be the Disney World of the Philippines and was designed to be the grandest theme park in the country, but since its construction was never finished, everything remained just a fantasy.

Mt. MANABU

Located in Sto. Tomas Batangas, Mt. Manabu is one of the best mountains to climb for beginners who want to get introduced to hiking. Although newbies are welcome, Mt. Manabu also gives more seasoned climbers a good amount of challenge and adventure with its few steep climbs and muddy trails. Once you reach the peak, you will find its famous landmark, a huge white wooden cross amidst tall grass and blooming plants, marking the highest point of the mountain.
It only takes about two hours to reach the peak of Mt. Manabu from the jump-off point at Sulok in Barangay Santa Cruz. The admission fee costs only PhP20. If you prefer to be joined by a local guide, the fee is PhP500 for a day hike and PhP1,250 for an overnight hike.
